Marine Corps Base Quantico will host an Independence Day Celebration in commemoration of the 250th birthday of the Marine Corps and the 249th birthday of the United States of America. The event will have live entertainment from Full Moon Fever (Tom Petty Tribute band) and Huntley (winner of the 2023 season of The Voice), amusements, inflatables, yard games, food trucks and more! The event will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.

We suggest you bring:
- Chairs, blankets, lawn chairs
- Non-aerosol sunscreen and bug repellant
- Sunglasses and hat
- Ear plugs if you're sensitive to loud sounds
- Cash, debit, or credit cards
- Camera, GoPro, selfie stick
- Cell phones (fully charged)
- Strollers
- Water
The following items are prohibited:
- Coolers
- Outside food or alcohol – Enjoy a selection of 17+ food trucks and beverage tents. Small snacks for children are allowed.
- Glass containers
- Large tents and canopies – Small shades for infants and toddlers (max size: 39.00" x 39.00" x 31.50") are allowed.
- Personal fireworks or sparklers – Leave the entertainment to the professionals!
- Controlled illegal substances and their associated paraphernalia
- Weapons, including knives
- Mace or oleoresin capsicum (i.e. pepper) spray
- Tasers
- Stun guns
- Drones
- Grills – Let the experts handle the cooking!
- Pets – Seriously, we mean it! Anyone with a pet will be asked to leave. (Verified, registered service dogs ARE permitted.)
FAQs
Who Can Attend?
Open to DoD Identification Cardholders and their guests only. No event passes will be issued for this event. Not open to general public.
Inclement Weather?
In case of inclement weather on July 3, the event will be canceled and will not be rescheduled.
Is the event free?
Yes, admission is free.
Will there be food & beverages available for purchase?
Yes. Food Trucks and Beverage Tents will be available with a variety of foods and beverages to purchase.
Is there seating? This is a lawn seating event so make sure you bring blankets and folding chairs to save your spot. Spots are on a first-come, first-served basis.
May I bring a cooler? No. Coolers are not permitted.
Will there be on-site parking?
Yes. To help minimize our environmental impact, we ask that you carpool. Main parking is available in the overflow lot of Lejeune Field. Additional parking is located throughout the base. Please pay attention to traffic guards who will direct you to the parking area.
Will there be Handicap Accessible parking?
Yes
Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are NOT permitted. Large crowds, fireworks, and excited children can make animals anxious. Please leave them at home. Service dogs with proper identification are allowed.
Will there be restroom facilities?
Yes, there will be port-o-lets available.
Where can I watch the fireworks?
This year’s fireworks will be larger than ever! Spectators do not need to be close to the launch area to enjoy the show. Please be mindful of signage and barricades—they are there for your safety.
