MCCS Okinawa Semper Fit, in collaboration with ELITUS Basketball Academy, introduces the ELITUS Basketball Academy at the Camp Foster Field House beginning October 5, 2026. The Academy operates alongside the MCCS Youth Sports basketball season with session times arranged so athletes can attend both Youth Sports practices and Academy training.
The program focuses on developing individual fundamentals, basketball IQ, and competitive mindset outside of regular team practices and games. Enrollment is optional, separate from Youth Sports registration, and does not impact team placement, playing time, or division assignment. Youth Sports registration is not required.
Instruction is provided by ELITUS Academy staff trained under the curriculum of Jo Kurino, former NCAA player, 15-year overseas professional, and current B.League coach. Open to SOFA-status DOD ID card holders. The Academy is co-ed.
