Lanterns for Life

The Lanterns for Life Fair supporting suicide prevention (September is suicide prevention month) will be on September 20 with a rain date of Sep 27.  It will be held at Gunners Fitness Center Baseball Field #1  from 1700-2000.  The event will be open to all with SOFA status and those with base access.  Our conceptualization for the event is a sunset event.   During the event we will have resource tables, educational and supportive displays and family-friendly activities.  The band Okinawa Americana will play during the event as well.  At sunset we will release approximately 100 LED, helium filled Japanese Paper Lanterns. We also have luminary bags with LED lights placed throughout the field.
