Using an integrated community health approach, the Community Counseling Program (CCP) equips Marines and families with the skills to address life’s challenges before there is significant impact to performance in their duties and relationships. The CCP assists Marines and families in accomplishing their personal goals through short-term solution focused counseling, skill enhancement, education and referrals to other helping resources.

We are licensed and experienced counselors, who focus on building strength, resiliency and teaching the necessary skills to individuals, couples and families. CCP uses an integrated community health approach. We equip Marines and families with the skills to address life’s challenges before performance in their duties and relationships become significantly impacted. 

What Do We Do

CCP assists clients in accomplishing personal goals through short-term solution focused counseling, skill enhancement, education and referrals to other resources. Our clinicians provide non-medical counseling that is supportive in nature and works to address issues such as general conditions of living, life skills, improving relationships at home and at work, stress management, adjustment issues, relationship problems, parenting issues, and grief and loss.

Where Are We Located

CCP offers counseling services on Camps Foster and Hansen; by appointment on Camps Courtney and Kinser. Walk-in screenings are available on Camp Foster (Bldg. 439) and Camp Hansen (Bldg. 2631) Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.

Our mission is to fully support the needs of Marines, Sailors, retirees, certain DoD civilians and their family members. We provide a central delivery system for personal and family support programs that maximize contributions to the service member, family and command readiness. Services are confidential, within the limits of the law and counseling records are not part of your medical record.

What type of services do you offer?

CCP offers individual, couple, family and group counseling. We provide walk-in screenings, assessments and referrals, non-medical counseling, specalized care cordination (Marine Intercept Program), behavioral health consultation and psycho-educational groups. How much do services cost?

CCP is a free service offered to Marines, Sailors, retirees, DoD civilians and their family members.  

Is CCP a medical service? 

No, CCP is a non-medical program. 

Will my records be shared with my Command or become part of my medical record?

No. CCP services are confidential, within the limits of the law, and counseling records are not part of your medical record.
