The Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS), per MCO 1700.31, is required for all active duty Service Members separating from service. Effective 1 October 2019, per DoDI 1332.35 and MARADMIN 632/19, all Service Members must complete an Individualized Initial Counseling (IC) and a Pre-Separation Counseling brief with a Transition Readiness Staff by 12-18 months out from separation or 12-24 months from retirement. During the IC it will be identified which pathway the Service Members will be required to complete and will determine if a 2-day track(s) are required, prior to the Unit Transition Coordinator (UTC)* registering the Service Member for TRS.  The 2-day tracks are Managing Your Education (MYE), Department of Labor Employment Workshop (DOLEW), Career and Credential Exploration (C2E), and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Entrepreneur Track - Boots to Business (B2B).

*To register and receive the TRS Pre-Work checklist, please contact your Unit Transition Coordinator (UTC). If you need assistance identifying your UTC, please contact the Transition office at MCBB_TRP@USMC.MIL.
