The primary purpose of the High Intensity Tactical Training (HITT) Program is to enhance operational fitness levels and optimize combat readiness and resiliency for the Marine. This comprehensive strength and conditioning program takes into consideration the physical demands of operational related activities in order to optimize physical performance while in combat. It focuses on physical resiliency and combat readiness.

Phases of work out include pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment, or building your own workout templates, the Marine can fully develop and maintain their physical readiness and resiliency. By implementing the latest cutting edge training methods and fundamental scientific principles, the HITT Program focuses on enhancing athleticism for today’s tactical athlete – The United States Marine.

The HITT program provides Unit Strength and Conditioning programs, Performance Fitness briefs and clinics, HITT training classes and workouts, unit PTs, Force Fitness Instructor (FFI) support, and HITT Small Unit Leader course.

Mission

The High Intensity Tactical Training (HITT) program is unique to the Marine Corps. It is a comprehensive strength and conditioning program tailored to the needs of the tactical athlete. The HITT program is science-based and developed by certified fitness professionals.

HITT Small Unit Leaders (SUL) Course

The HITT SUL course is a 5-day introduction to coaching for NCOs who are seeking to leading safe and effective strength and conditioning workouts. This course is open to Active Duty or Reservists, with a rank of Corporal (E4) or above, only. You will need to submit proof of a current 1st class PFT and CFT score along with SEMPER FIT BASIC FITNESS COURSE (MCI 4133A) AND SEMPER FIT ADVANCED FITNESS COURSE (MCI 4134A) Certificates. If you have been assigned to BCP, Light or Limited Duty within the last 6 months you are ineligible to attend a course. 

After attending the course, Marines and Sailors may lead HITT workouts for their unit, as well as utilize the HITT lockers/equipment. The course can provide a solid foundation for Marines who wish to later become their unit’s Force Fitness Instructor (FFI).

The HITT program offers hour-long classes at each camp taught by one of our Fitness Coordinators. Each HITT class is designed with Tactical Performance, injury prevention and resiliency in mind.
