The Youth Sports Program offers youth and teens ages 5–18 an opportunity to participate in a variety of sports throughout the year. Sports include co-ed soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, and cheerleading.

Our philosophy is to provide an enjoyable, fair, and safe environment for all participants, regardless of their level of ability. Parents can register their child in person at any staffed MCCS Semper Fit Fitness Center or online during registration dates.

New registrations must be accompanied by a proof-of-age document (DoD ID, birth certificate, passport, etc.). Registration fees include the player’s uniform, participation medal, and usage of sport-specific equipment.

INCLUSION AND REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION

We encourage and support the participation of individuals of all abilities. Parents can find all Youth Sports information on our website or on the MCCS Semper Fit Facebook page. Please call 645-3533/3534 or email youthsports@okinawa.usmc-mccs.org if you need any assistance or require an accommodation.

Visit the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) website for great information on topics such as concussion training, bullying, detecting child abuse, etc. Also available, are webinars, blogs, news and articles and an online store.

All registered Head Coaches will receive a free membership and Certified Coaches Training through the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS), provided by MCCS Youth Sports. The membership and all certifications are yours to keep and may support your future coaching endeavors.

All Head and Assistant Coaches are required to attend the Coaches Meeting prior to the start of each season to complete the mandatory Child Abuse and Problematic Sexual Behaviors in Children and Youth (CA & PSB‑CY) Training.

Your contribution is greatly appreciated, and Letters of Appreciation (LOAs) will be provided each season for those interested.

Please contact our office for more information.

SFYS accepts Coaching Applications throughout the year for all of our sports seasons.

If you are interested, please visit us on Camp Foster (bldg. 5952), call us at 645-3533/34 or email youthsports@okinawa.usmc-mccs.org.

Participant Age Verification

We prioritize your privacy. Proof of age must be completed in person. Because these documents contain sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII), we are unable to accept them via email.

Players who have not yet provided age verification to SFYS staff or Gym staff must present proof of age (ID, birth certificate, passport, etc.).

If you have previously provided age documentation to an SFYS staff member or Fitness Center staff (not volunteer coaches), you will not need to provide it again.

For more information, please contact us at youthsports@okinawa.usmc-mccs.org or 645-3533 / 34, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
