Courtney Arts and Crafts, located in Bldg. 4453 across from Ironworks Fitness Center, is open Thursday–Sunday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Browse unique merchandise and sign up for creative classes, including Clay Shisa making and more. The Woodshop provides the tools and materials needed to create furniture and wooden projects; first-time users must complete a $10 Woodshop Orientation to receive a Woodshop Certification Card. 

Get hands-on crafting a traditional Okinawan guardian lion every Saturday at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m., perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike. Classes are $30 per person, with payment required before class. Register in person or by phone at 098-954-7492 at least 24 hours in advance.

From Camp Kinser-travel north on Hwy. 58 and turn right on Hwy. 81 just before Camp Foster. Continue on this road (which will turn into Hwy. 330 and then into Hwy. 75) through Uruma City past the Camp Courtney's main gate on the right to the next signal light and turn left to Camp Courtney's commissary side. Enter the gate and follow the road around to the front of the Courtney commissary, then turn left through the commissary parking lot and drive up to the cash register at the large big top canopy.

From Camp Foster, exit the Legion gate (Gate 6) then turn left onto Hwy. 330 and continue on this road through Uruma City past the Camp Courtney main gate on the right to the next signal light and turn left to Camp Courtney’s commissary side. EFMP provides coordination and support throughout the assignment process, ensuring families have access to the services they need while supporting the mission of the USMC. The program collaborates with military and civilian agencies to provide a comprehensive, multi-agency approach to community support, including medical, educational and personal services.

Families Overcoming Under Stress (FOCUS) offers training designed to strengthen couples and families for the challenges of military life. The program builds on current strengths and teaches practical skills for managing stress, injury, and other life transitions. Families and couples practice perspective and develop a shared understanding of their experiences, helping them grow closer. FOCUS training is confidential, free and available during family-friendly hours.

Inns of the Corps Camp Courtney has a total of 16 suites—all outfitted with a queen-sized bed in a private bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a queen sofa sleeper and sleeper chair. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, coffee maker, silverware, pots and pans, dishes and glasses. The facility is located two minutes away on foot from the Courtney Ironworks Fitness Center, a library, Tengan Castle restaurant and the Courtney Child Development Center. Amenities at Inns of the Corps Camp Courtney include a business center, FREE Wi-Fi, an outdoor playground for children, a picnic area and more.

MCCS Outdoor Recreation offers a wide selection of camping and outdoor gear for rent, including tents, canopies, sleeping bags, lanterns, grills, stoves, and coolers. Additional items for parties and cookouts such as tables, chairs and turkey fryers are also available. Delivery is available to McT and Courtney Monday - Friday. All deliveries to on-base tower housing will be limited to the Multipurpose Rooms. Delivery schedules will vary pending on delivery demand. Delivery requests must be submitted with advance notice.

The Single Marine Program (SMP) enhances the quality of life for single and unaccompanied Marines and Sailors through recreation, community involvement and cultural activities.   • Ages 12–15: unsupervised with periodic check-ins from a designated adult 

  • Ages 11 & under: supervised use required; adult must remain on site

The program includes the mandatory Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS), a three-day workshop covering transition planning, career alignment, financial planning, VA benefits and employment fundamentals, along with individualized counseling prior to separation or retirement.
