The Bayview Enlisted Club on Camp Courtney offers Bulldogs Burgers for hearty eaters and burger lovers, while pizza fans can head to Shisa Pizza in the bowling center. Entertainment at the Bayview includes DJs, live music, and more.

MCCS Bowling Centers offer a fun recreational activity for service members, civilians, and their families, from novices to competitive bowlers. The facilities feature state-of-the-art entertainment systems, seasonal and holiday specials, tournaments, cosmic glow bowling, and pro shops (at Camp Foster) with bowling balls, shoes, and accessories. The Education Center provides comprehensive educational and career support for service members, DoD civilians and their families. The center offers academic counseling, college and career guidance, testing services and access to a wide range of educational resources.  

Patrons can explore degree programs, professional certifications, online learning opportunities, and specialized workshops to achieve personal and professional goals. Knowledgeable staff assist with enrollment, financial aid, and career planning, ensuring every visitor receives the support they need to succeed. 

The Family Programs & Resource Center connects Marines and their families with support programs, practical resources, education and counseling to build resilience and navigate the challenges of military life. 

MCCS Child Development Centers (CDC) offer quality programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Each CDC is staffed with trained caregiving professionals and meets the accreditation standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. For more information, call 645-4117. 

Courtney Arts and Crafts, located in Bldg. 4453 across from Ironworks Fitness Center, is open Thursday–Sunday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Browse unique merchandise and sign up for creative classes, including Clay Shisa making and more. The Woodshop provides the tools and materials needed to create furniture and wooden projects; first-time users must complete a $10 Woodshop Orientation to receive a Woodshop Certification Card. 

Get hands-on crafting a traditional Okinawan guardian lion every Saturday at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m., perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike. Classes are $30 per person, with payment required before class. Register in person or by phone at 098-954-7492 at least 24 hours in advance.

From Camp Kinser-travel north on Hwy. 58 and turn right on Hwy. 81 just before Camp Foster. Continue on this road (which will turn into Hwy. 330 and then into Hwy. 75) through Uruma City past the Camp Courtney's main gate on the right to the next signal light and turn left to Camp Courtney's commissary side. Enter the gate and follow the road around to the front of the Courtney commissary, then turn left through the commissary parking lot and drive up to the cash register at the large big top canopy.

MCCS Libraries provide a welcoming, community-centered space offering a wide range of resources for service members, families and students across the island. Once registered at any MCCS Library, patrons gain full access to all MCB Camp Butler library locations, making it easy to borrow materials or attend programs no matter where they live or work.  

Each library offers an extensive collection of books, audiobooks, digital resources, study spaces, computers and free Wi-Fi, along with educational and recreational programs for all ages including story times, craft activities, book clubs and seasonal reading events. The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) helps ensure that Marine family members with special needs receive continuity of care when transferring between duty stations. EFMP provides coordination and support throughout the assignment process, ensuring families have access to the services they need while supporting the mission of the USMC. The program collaborates with military and civilian agencies to provide a comprehensive, multi-agency approach to community support, including medical, educational and personal services. 

Inns of the Corps Camp Courtney has a total of 16 suites—all outfitted with a queen-sized bed in a private bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a queen sofa sleeper and sleeper chair. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, coffee maker, silverware, pots and pans, dishes and glasses. The facility is located two minutes away on foot from the Courtney Ironworks Fitness Center, a library, Tengan Castle restaurant and the Courtney Child Development Center. Amenities at Inns of the Corps Camp Courtney include a business center, FREE Wi-Fi, an outdoor playground for children, a picnic area and more.

MCCS Outdoor Recreation offers a wide selection of camping and outdoor gear for rent, including tents, canopies, sleeping bags, lanterns, grills, stoves, and coolers. Additional items for parties and cookouts such as tables, chairs and turkey fryers are also available. Delivery is available to McT and Courtney Monday - Friday. All deliveries to on-base tower housing will be limited to the Multipurpose Rooms. Delivery schedules will vary pending on delivery demand. Delivery requests must be submitted with advance notice.

The Single Marine Program (SMP) enhances the quality of life for single and unaccompanied Marines and Sailors through recreation, community involvement and cultural activities. Each camp’s SMP council meets monthly to plan and support programs such as local and off-island trips, Japanese language and culture exchanges, community service projects, paintball, barracks bashes and more. SMP helps service members stay connected, engaged and supported while stationed on Okinawa. For more information, call the SMP main office at 645-3681. 

Tengan Castle is a family-friendly restaurant offering Sunday brunch, family nights, Mongolian BBQ on Wednesdays and Thursdays, home-style buffets on Fridays,and themed holiday buffets. Catering services are also available. Join us at Tengan Castle Family Fun Night every Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. on Camp Courtney. The Transition Readiness Program (TRP) prepares Marines for successful life after military service by providing required training, counseling and resources to meet Career Readiness Standards. The program includes the mandatory Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS), a three-day workshop covering transition planning, career alignment, financial planning, VA benefits and employment fundamentals, along with individualized counseling prior to separation or retirement.  

Okinawa is famous for its spectacular diving locales, and those interested in diving should check out Tsunami Scuba for all their diving needs. Tsunami Scuba is a full service PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center, offering gear rental, repair and maintenance, tank fills and rentals, and a large retail selection of diving equipment and accessories. Tsunami Scuba provides diver training from beginner to professional level, and their instructors are some of the best in the business. If you’ve ever considered taking the plunge into the undersea realm, there’s no better time than while stationed on Okinawa. 

MCCS Youth & Teen Centers offer a variety of recreational activities and programs for teens ages 13–18. Programs are designed to build life skills such as career preparation, mentoring, citizenship and leadership. All Youth & Teen programs are Department of Defense (DoD) certified and affiliated with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
