Taiyo Golf Club, which derives its name from the Japanese word for “sun,” continues the rich and historic legacy of U.S. Marine Corps golf on Okinawa. Taiyo is located in Uruma City near Kurashiki Dam in the central part of the island. Golf awaits on a visually stunning 18-hole layout that unfolds across 247 acres of rolling fairways, lush wetlands and scenic vistas. Dramatic elevation changes and large, well-manicured greens with subtle breaks make a round of golf both challenging and fun. The course offers a variety of tournaments and events for all ages and skill levels, including competitive stroke play events such as the Club Championship and Home & Home Challenge, as well as casual events like Lemon Ball, the Red, White & Blue and Scramble tournaments. Instructional programs include Get Golf Ready, Taiyo Golf Adventure, the Golfer Advancement Program (GAP), FREE Ladies Clinics and more.

Join the Golfer Advancement Program at Taiyo Golf Club!

The GAP (Golfer Advancement Program) is designed to help avid golfers reach their performance goals. Enjoy unlimited range balls at the Taiyo Driving Range for the duration of your enrollment.

Weekly clinics are held every Wednesday from 5–6 p.m., led by the Taiyo Professional Staff. Clinic topics vary based on demand. Most sessions are at the driving range, but some take place on the golf course.
