The Camp Foster Community Center Auditorium (Bldg. 5908) is a versatile space for meetings, events, and community activities. It also hosts Newcomers’ Orientation & Welcome Aboard (NOWA) every Wednesday, required for all newly arrived accompanied Marines and Navy personnel of all ranks, unaccompanied E-6 and above, civilian employees, and family members ages 10 and up. NOWA introduces attendees to Okinawa’s culture, facilities, activities, and how to be a proper U.S. ambassador to the island’s residents.

The Human Resources office, located on the 2nd floor of Bldg. 5966 on Camp Foster, provides personnel support for MCCS employees, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits guidance, and training resources. HR ensures smooth operations across Marine Corps Installations across Okinawa by assisting staff and leadership with workforce management and policy compliance. Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCIPAC) charters and oversees more than 90 Private Organizations (POs) authorized to operate on installations in Okinawa, Camp Fuji and MCAS Iwakuni. These self-sustaining, non-federal entities include military spouse, youth, community service and recreational organizations, and operate with written authorization under MCIPAC Order 5760.1. POs are regulated by MCIPAC and are not affiliated with MCCS. Oversight is managed by the MCCS Executive Branch through the Private Organization Monitor to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Check out the weekly NAF Warehouse Sale every Wednesday at Camp Foster in Bldg. 5600 to discover great new-to-you treasures. This reutilization program offers surplus items no longer needed to support MCCS mission requirements, available for purchase at discounted prices. The sale is open to SOFA-status personnel and retirees from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All other base employees and authorized guests may shop from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
